The laboratory is one of the main facilities which significantly contributes to the achievement of the learning process mainly general and specific skills of GSP students and graduates. GSP is currently coordinating four main laboratories to support the quality of education and research activities of students and staffs. The five GSP laboratories are (1) Solid Geophysics (2) Hydrometeorology (3) Geoinformatics and (4) Coastal dan ocean dynamics. Each laboratory serves laboratory work of the GSP courses with relevant topics. Therefore, each course within GSP which embedded with laboratory works is held in organized in the relevant laboratory.
In addition, the GSP staff and students also have access to some laboratories in faculty. Another field laboratory with nature filed in Barru belong to geological department also accessible to all GSP students and staff to support their research and student field work. All GSP laboratories also equipped with standardized laboratory equipment to support research and the achievement of ELOs of graduates. However, in order to optimize student’s skill and knowledge on aquaculture technology, collaboration with commercial aquaculture industry with advanced facilities and equipment which enable the student to access and opportunity to improve their laboratory and practical skills.
