Alumni tracking is done through the website:

– Faculty with the URL

– Study program with URL

The website provides information forms related to information about alumni that are wanted by the faculties and departments. In addition, alumni tracking also utilized social media that is widely accessed by smart phone users via WhatsApp Group (WAG). Especially for the academic community and alumni of the Geophysics Study Program. The intensive information through WAG with 206 members can obtain 156 alumni information, the most alumni information in FMIPA Hasanuddin University based on the number of alumni who fill the Faculty Website (238 people). To assist in tracking and linkages between alumni, alumni bulletins are also created by the alumni themselves and are supported by departments and study programs. This bulletin named “ANOMALI” seeks to bridge between the campus world and factual information relating to soft skills and hard skills that help alumni, especially fresh graduates to be able to compete and succeed in the world of work.

The average waiting time for graduates to get the first job = 3 (three) months, (the figure was obtained from the assessment of alumni during the last 3 years using the Proportional Random Sampling Cluster method, namely the 2012-2016 graduation period from the number of 159 alumni, then looking for information about job openings up to the process of getting the job). Tracer Study was conducted on 41 respondents. Percentage of graduates working in fields in accordance with their expertise = 81% (48 people out of 59 total respondents). Of the total alumni over the past 2 years, the percentage of graduates working in fields in accordance with their expertise is 81%, including in the Ministry of Research and Technology (permanent lecturers and scholarship recipients), Mining Companies, BMKG, Oil Companies and Petroleum Service Companies and the rest work in banking sector, insurance and financing, entrepreneurship.
